Bun Voyagi
Work from the FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais collection
Curated by Gavin Turk

17.07 > 28.08.2010

PEOPLE AND PLACES
La condition humaine

Exposition : 7.05 > 30.09.2010

A dialogue between contemporary art and historical collections on the theme of the human condition.
For several years, the collection of the FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais has been enriched by works on themes related to man and his place in society. People's relationship to the world around them, to individuals, the workplace, and the territory in which they live, are all issues of representation developed by contemporary artists.

Concept de Scott King

A partir de mars 2010

Scott King, an artist and designer in the collection of the FRAC Nord-Pas de Calais, has been invited to reflect on the proposed relocation of the FRAC to the AP2. After designing a presentation module to travel within the region and to make contact with partners and the public in the territory, the artist has now created a space within the FRAC. The entrance hall has been transformed into a site for the past, present and future FRAC, anchored both in the territory and in the history of the city. Scott King has devised a evolutionary piece, made of wood panels and narratives in which everyone is invited to participate in a changing installation, bringing their own "touch", stories or wishes. Developed over time by visiting artists, the public or the team of the FRAC, Conversations will be supported by a wealth of views, each bringing its own "building block".
